Valdirene Bastos-Evans

Valdirene Bastos Evans is the senior vice president and president, Asia-Pacific, and global head of pharma, home and beauty for Ingredion. Evans is responsible for the financial and operational performance in Asia-Pacific and leading the development and execution of the region’s business strategy for the global pharma, beauty and home businesses.

Before Ingredion, Evans was senior vice president, Asia-Pacific of Solvay’s Euro Novecare operation, which provides chemicals for home and personal care, agriculture, coatings, oil and gas and industrial applications. Evans also served in various leadership executive roles at BASF for 23 years, holding numerous positions of increasing complexity in global and regional supply chain, global and regional marketing and general manager positions at agricultural and chemical businesses, including food, feed, pharma, flavors as well as home and beauty care.

Evans holds both a bachelor’s and a licensing degree in mathematics from Fundacao Santo Andre in Brazil and a master’s of science degree in management from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Evans also participated in strategy courses at Harvard as part of its master’s degree program.
