All Life Partners Responsible Sourcing Programme

Ingredion's commitment to sustainability

Ingredion believes that being good stewards of our planet and its people is a shared responsibility that has far-reaching implications for generations to come. Our 2030 All Life plan guides us in the pursuit of our sustainability goals and provides the framework for how we collaborate with our external partners to support them in achieving success with their own sustainability initiatives. We approach sustainability from three angles: Everyday Life, Planet Life, and Connected Life.

Ingredion's Global Supplier Code of Conduct ("GSCC") clarifies the principles and expectations for suppliers doing business with us. Ingredion expects our suppliers to comply with the law and act ethically in all matters. We expect our suppliers to commit to the principles expressed in the GSCC, which are important for our supplier selection and evaluation process.

The All Life Partners programme focuses on our non-agriculture suppliers with an emphasis on Everyday Life and Planet Life responsibilities. Connected Life responsibilities are addressed through our agriculture focused responsible sourcing programmes.

Ingredion's GSCC is based on these 5 principles

  • Conduct Business Ethically and with Integrity
  • Provide Healthy and Safe Work Environment
  • Meet Product Quality and Safety Requirements
  • Treat People with Dignity and Respect
  • Support Sustainability & Environmental Stewardship

Ingredion’s All Life Partners Programme reflects our commitment to link sustainability and growth with our suppliers. The main goal of our programme is to engage suppliers in transparent and ethical business practices focused on improving the lives of people and the health of the planet.

Ingredion understands that tackling human and workplace rights as well as climate change are big tasks that no one company can do on its own. By partnering together we can make a difference.

Sustainable and Regenerative Agriculture Programme

At Ingredion we categorize our suppliers as agriculture and non-agriculture to determine how we engage in sustainability efforts. Agriculture suppliers are not part of Ingredion's All Life Partners programme, but we do engage with these suppliers in a variety of ways.

Ingredion partners with the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative (SAI) Platform to increase visibility of our agriculture supply chain. The SAI Platform assesses farms through a Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) with third party verification audits, including on-farm visits. These practices enable us to assess, validate, and improve on-farm sustainability practices within our supply chain. Ingredion has over 65% of our Tier 1 crops (corn, tapioca, potato, pulses, and stevia) confirmed sustainably sourced through the SAI Platform. 100% of our Stevia crop is sustainably sourced with 95% of growers at the Silver level.

Ingredion's commitment to regenerative agriculture is anchored in strong partnerships. We start with a focus on our customers' sustainability initiatives and connect with the right partners to bring their goals to life. Together, we develop a programme that fits our growers' current crops and capabilities while supporting resilience against climate change and extreme weather, such as droughts and flooding, for decades to come.

Suppliers who believe that an employee of Ingredion, or anyone acting on behalf of Ingredion, has engaged in illegal or otherwise improper conduct, should report the matter to Ingredion using Ingredion’s Business Ethics Line INGRethics.com or by contacting Ingredion’s Global Compliance Office at AsktheCCO@Ingredion.com.
